International Conference on eBusiness, eCommerce, eManagement, eLearning and eGovernance (IC5E 2014)
The first international workshop on Mobile Usability, Learning and Application Development (MULAD) will be a half-day event, held in conjunction with the International Conference on eBusiness, eCommerce, eManagement, eLearning and eGovernance (IC5E 2014), to be held at London between 28 to 29 July 2014. This workshop is specifically focused on Mobile Usability, Learning and Application Development (MULAD) that improve existing mobile technologies and application.
The workshop’s primary aim is to bring together professionals, technologists, policy makers, and academics to share and disseminate their innovations and research projects.
The workshop is organized under partnership with Centre for Research on Applied Technology, Entrepreneurship and Development (CReATED) and the Association of Scientists, Developers and Faculties (ASDF).

The whole workshop is divided into three major sessions:
- Mobile Usability
- Mobile Learning
- Mobile Application Development
The Mobile Application Development session will consist of the following hands-on and practical lessons
1. Environment Setup:
Integration of Android SDK with Eclipse.
Environment variable setup of computer.
2. Creation of Android Projects in Eclipse.
3. Creation of Android Virtual Devices.
4. Introduction of Activity, Service, Broadcast Receiver, SQ- Lite Database, Shared – Preferences.
5. Practical examples :
Data transfer from one device to another.
Upon completion of the course, the attendees should be familiarized with Mobile Usability Issues and Mobile Learning Technologies. Attendees should also be equipped with developing their own Mobile (M-Learning) Apps using the Android platform.
Position Paper Session:
The workshop will comprise a paper session, where participants will have the opportunity to present and/or demonstrate their mobile technology work.
The scope of the paper session focuses on key aspects of the technology ranging from technical hardware and software solutions to applications, and the wider issues arising from them. We encourage submissions from both academic and commercial organizations. Accepted papers will be published as an annex to the conference proceedings.
Call for Position Paper:
Position papers (maximum 2 pages) are now invited for submission and should be submitted through the Conference's submission system Topics of interest include (but are not limited to):

Notification to authors: Friday, 31 January, 2014
